Recently I found myself falling in love with tomato which is so amazing because tomato stores some nutrients that our body needs. Tomato is consumed in diverse ways which we all know including raw, as an ingredient in many dishes, sauce, salads and drinks.
The main reason why I love tomato is because it is 95% water, 4% carbs and less than 1% of each fat and protein. In a 100 gram amount, raw tomatoes supply 18 calories and are a moderate source of vitamin C.
My concern is the 95% water which is very good as you all know, I started the intermittent fasting https://motivatemeposts.wordpress.com/2018/06/12/fast-to-lose-weight/ and have been drinking a certain amount of water a day and tomatoes are good source of water as well. So I added tomatoes to my diet. I’ll share with you some differents ways I eat and enjoy tomatoes.
1-TOMATOES BLEND WITH MILK.
Not only this looks good but taste good as well.
- 2 big tomatoes
- 1 cup of whole milk (optional, you can use skim or whatever works for you)
Blend them together until smooth and your juice is ready to drink.
2-TOMATO AND COTTAGE CHEESE
This one is so delicious. You will need a teaspoon of cottage cheese on each sliced tomato and add a little salt and pepper to them.
3-SCRAMBLED EGGS WITH TOMATOES
This one up here is so good to add to your breakfast menu, I love how delicious it turned out and I call this happy tummy ☺️.
- 2 sliced cucumbers
- 3 roma diced tomates
- 1/3 cup chopped white onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
